We are currenlty recruiting for 3.5 tonne delivery drivers for work on an ad hoc basis for one of our clients

Job Description

  • Safely and efficiently drive company vehicles to deliver products to customer locations, ensuring timely delivery schedules are met.
  • Verify the accuracy of deliveries, including checking against delivery notes and ensuring all items are in good condition.
  • Provide excellent customer service, offering assistance with offloading products and addressing any customer inquiries in a professional manner.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork, including delivery logs, customer signatures, and delivery reports.
  • Ensure vehicle is well-maintained, clean, and in compliance with all safety regulations.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and health and safety regulations.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Valid UK driving license (Category B).
  • Previous experience in a delivery or warehouse role is desirable but not essential.
  • Knowledge of building materials or plastics is an advantage, but training will be provided.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.
  • Ability to lift heavy items and perform physical tasks safely.
  • A proactive, team-oriented approach to work.

Flexibility to work additional hours when required.
