Support qualified auto electricians in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining the electrical systems of commercial vehicles, including lighting, wiring, sensors, and battery systems.
Assist with the installation of new electrical components and replacement of damaged or outdated parts such as alternators, starters, and fuses.
Conduct or assist with diagnostic tests using specialised tools to identify electrical issues and ensure system functionality.
Help inspect, install, and repair wiring and circuitry, ensuring all work complies with safety standards and industry regulations.
Assist in performing routine safety checks on vehicle electrical systems to ensure compliance and proper operation.
Prior experience or a strong interest in automotive or electrical work is preferred, though not required-training will be provided.
Basic understanding of electrical systems, vehicle maintenance, or auto mechanics is beneficial.
Good problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot basic electrical faults.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality work.
Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
Team-oriented with strong communication and collaboration skills.
Motivated to learn and progress within the automotive electrical field.
Based in a workshop or garage environment, primarily working on commercial vehicles.
Hours: Full-time role with occasional overtime, depending on workload.
Salary: £13.50 - £16.00 per hour (depending on experience).
