Job Title: Commercial Vehicle Auto Electrician Assistant

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Commercial Vehicle Auto Electrician Assistant. In this role, you will assist experienced auto electricians in maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting the electrical systems of commercial vehicles. Your work will help ensure the efficient operation and safety of a variety of vehicles, including trucks, busses, and other commercial vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the auto electricians in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining the electrical systems of commercial vehicles, including lighting, wiring, sensors, and battery systems.

  • Assist in the installation of new electrical components and the replacement of damaged or outdated parts, such as alternators, starters, and fuses.

  • Help in conducting diagnostic tests using specialised equipment to detect electrical issues and ensure systems are operating efficiently.

  • Assist in the inspection, installation, and repair of wiring and circuitry, ensuring that all connections are secure and compliant with safety standards.

  • Help perform safety checks on electrical systems to ensure compliance with industry regulations and safety standards.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Previous experience or interest in automotive or electrical work is preferred but not required. Training will be provided.

  • Basic understanding of electrical systems, vehicle maintenance, or auto mechanics is beneficial.

  • Ability to troubleshoot and solve electrical issues efficiently.

  • Strong attention to detail, ensuring all work is performed to a high standard.

Desirable Attributes:

  • Comfortable with using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.

  • Ability to work well within a team and support colleagues.

  • A desire to gain skills and progress in the automotive electrical field.

Working Conditions:

  • Workshop or garage setting with exposure to commercial vehicles.

  • Hours: Full-time position, with occasional overtime as required.

  • Salary: Competitive, based on experience.
