Stafforce are recruiting a Part-Time Bookkeeper for our client, a well-established and respected business based in Upminster. This role offers the opportunity to work in a supportive and evolving environment with flexible working hours. The position is permanent, with the chance to help shape the role further as you grow within the company.

Salary: £28,000 to £32,000 pro rata, based on experience

Shift: 15 to 18 hours per week, with flexible working hours and days. We're open to discussing your preferences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure all transactions comply with accounting standards and regulations.
  • Handle general bookkeeping duties including processing invoices, managing accounts payable/receivable, and reconciling bank statements.
  • Assist with audits and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
  • Manage payroll, VAT returns, and prepare financial reports.
  • Support improvements in financial processes and systems within the business.

Skills and Experience:

  • AAT qualification or equivalent practical experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
  • Proven experience in bookkeeping or similar roles.
  • Strong organisational skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills and proactive approach to tasks.
