This is a high‑impact, field‑based role focused on new business acquisition, account retention, gross profit delivery, and commercial performance. You will play a pivotal part in driving revenue growth while ensuring strong, sustainable margins across your territory.

About the Role

As the New Business Manager, you will identify, win, and retain profitable customers across the region. This role suits a confident, analytical, and results‑orientated salesperson who thrives on autonomy, relationship building, and commercial ownership.

Key Responsibilities

New Business Development

You will proactively hunt for new foodservice opportunities, build a strong sales pipeline, lead negotiations, and develop commercially sound proposals that convert prospects into profitable customers.

Account Retention & Growth

You will manage relationships to ensure high retention, regularly review performance, identify growth areas, deliver value, and secure renewals that protect and enhance profitability.

Gross Profit Management

You will take full responsibility for margin delivery across your accounts, set and maintain pricing strategies, analyse cost structures, and implement margin improvements through upselling, cost control, rebate analysis, and supplier terms.

Commercial Reporting & Performance

You will track revenue and margin targets, monitor pipeline conversion, utilise data to guide decisions, and deliver consistent performance updates to the senior leadership team.

Market Insight & Strategy

You will stay ahead of market movement, competitor activity, pricing trends, and emerging opportunities, ensuring your commercial strategy is aligned with operational capability and customer demand.

What We're Looking For

We are seeking a driven sales professional with preffered strong foodservice background, excellent commercial understanding, and proven success in business development, GP control, and relationship management. The ideal candidate has exceptional negotiation skills, strong financial awareness, and the ability to convert insight into action.

Why Apply?

  • £40,000 basic salary
  • Generous performance‑based bonus
  • Company car & mobile phone
  • Field‑based autonomy
  • Real opportunity to influence growth and shape your region's success
  • A supportive, high‑energy environment where commercial performance is recognised
