Immediate Start | Ongoing Work | £15.00 - £21.00 per Hour DOE

Are you a passionate and experienced Chef looking for your next opportunity? We're recruiting for a skilled Chef to join a busy and welcoming pub in Penrith, serving quality homemade pub grub to a high standard.

The Role

  • Working hours: 12:00pm start with a 9:00pm/10:00pm finish
  • Any days Mon - Sun
  • Preparing and cooking traditional pub food using fresh ingredients
  • Running the kitchen during service and maintaining smooth operations
  • Supporting and mentoring kitchen staff where required
  • Ensuring consistently high food quality and presentation
  • Maintaining excellent food hygiene and safety standards

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience as a Chef in a pub, restaurant, or similar environment
  • Ability to confidently run a kitchen and manage busy services
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Good understanding of:
    • Stock rotation (FIFO)
    • Use-by and best-before date management
    • Stock control and re-ordering procedures
  • A proactive, organised approach with attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain high standards and support other team members
  • Must have own reliable transport due to the location
