Stafforce are currently looking for a Class 1 Driver to join an expanding team in Barnsley, you are joining an international market leader and you will be expected to collect culled from a range of local sites and deliver it to the plant to be processed.
What to Expect:
● Operating Class 1 vehicles to transport recycled materials and finished products between recycling facilities, manufacturing plants, and customer locations.
● Working an AM shift start times are typically between 2am - 4am
● Daily interaction with loading teams to ensure secure and efficient transport of goods.
● Maintaining accurate delivery records and ensuring compliance with transportation regulations.
● A role that involves mostly local routes and some long-haul routes, offering variety in your workday.
● A safety-first culture, with all vehicles maintained to high standards. What We Need from You:
● A valid UK Class 1 (C+E) driving licence and up-to-date CPC and Tachograph cards.
● Proven experience as a professional HGV driver with a strong track record of safety.
● A good understanding of transport laws, including load security and road safety regulations.
● Excellent time management skills to meet delivery schedules.
● A flexible approach to shift patterns.
● A professional attitude and the ability to represent the company positively with customers.
What We Can Offer:
● Salary £28.000-£35.500 per annum
● A permanent role with 40 hours a week plus 10 hours guaranteed overtime. Typical work times Mon - Friday 2am - 12pm with some flex.
