CNC Miller / 5 Axis Programmer

Hours:
Monday - Thursday: 08:00 - 16:30
Friday: 08:00 - 15:30

We are currently recruiting for a CNC Miller / 5 Axis Programmer to join a busy and growing engineering business based in Darlington.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced CNC machinist with 5-axis machining experience looking to join a well-established engineering environment with opportunities for further development and training.

Main Duties

• Program, set and operate Haas and Hurco CNC machining centres

• Program and machine 5-axis components

• Carry out CAM programming using Delcam / Autodesk PowerMill / Fusion 360

• Read and interpret engineering drawings

• Operate manual mills and lathes when required

• Work to tight tolerances and strict deadlines

Key Skills & Experience

• Experience operating CNC milling machines

• 5-axis machining experience

• CNC programming knowledge

• Ability to work from engineering drawings and specifications

• Good time management and attention to detail

Desirable but not essential:

• Experience with Hurco, Haas or CMS machines

• Knowledge of PowerMill or Fusion 360

• Toolmaking experience
