CODED FABRICATOR/ WELDER

We are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Coded Fabricator/ Welder join a busy structural steel and fabrication team. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a controlled manufacturing environment, producing high - quality structural steel frames, sub-assemblies, and modular chassis.

Shift Pattern / Working Hours

Monday to Thursday 7:30 - 16:30 and Friday 7:30 - 12:30

The Coded Fabricator/ Welder role is available to start immediately and is a permanent position. We are looking for candidates who demonstrate the right attitude, reliability and commitment, offering the chance to build a long - term career within a fast pace, high quality fabrication environment.

Job Description

As a Coded/ Fabricator Welder, you will be responsible for supporting the production and fabrication of structural steel assemblies, ensuring all welding work is carried out safely, efficiently, and to a high - quality standards. Your duties will include:

  • Carrying out coded MIG/ MAG welding (FM1 + FM2) on EN 10025 / EN 1090 CE marked materials ( 1-50mm) in all positions, including overhead.
  • Reading and interpreting fabrication drawings, weld symbols and WPS
  • Setting up equipment, selecting consumables, and completing pre - and post - weld inspections.
  • Rectifying weld defects and maintaining accurate weld records.
  • Supporting production and prototype and repeat components
  • Ensuring HSE compliance, quality standards and collaboration with the team

The Successful Candidate:

To be considered for the position of coded / Fabricator Welder must have.

  • Proven experience in welding or fabrication, ideally with structural steel or modular assemblies
  • Strong understanding of welding processes, material handling and production workflow
  • Excellent organisation and problem - solving skills, able to prioritise tasks and meet production requirements/ targets
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast - paced, hands- on manufacturing environment
  • Experience with MIG/ MAG Welding and basic fabrication tools
  • Be reliable, self-motivated, and driven with a positive attitude and willingness to learn and develop skills.

The successful candidate:

· Have previous experience in welding or fabrication, ideally with structural steel or modular assemblies

· Be familiar with MIG/ MAG welding and working with WPS on CE marked materials

· Be reliable, punctual and committed with a strong willingness to learn and develop

· Be physically fit and able to work in a fast - paced, hands on production environment

· Have a positive attitude and proactive approach, working safely and collaboratively.
