Commercial Sales Manager - Premium Hospitality & Events

North London | Prestigious Sports & Events Venue

Permanent | Full-time (35 hours) | Hybrid Working

£40,000 base + competitive commission

The Opportunity

We're partnering with an exciting, prestigious sports related organisation operating at the very top end for live events to recruit a Commercial Sales Manager.

This is a high-impact, outward-facing commercial role for someone who thrives on winning new business, opening doors, and owning revenue.

Our Client is looking for someone with a hunter mentality - who is also comfortable managing a small team of two sales representatives - this role suits a confident commercial operator who wants visibility, autonomy, and the chance to represent a globally recognised venue.

You'll operate in a major events environment, selling memberships, and large-scale event solutions to senior decision makers.

The Role

You'll balance hands on new business development with people leadership, managing two experienced direct reports while still maintaining your own strong personal sales performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and deliver commercial sales targets across a premium hospitality and events portfolio
  • Proactively generate new B2B business through outbound activity, networking, meetings, and pitches
  • Sell directly to senior stakeholders and C-suite decision-makers using a consultative, value-led approach
  • Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline, managing the full sales cycle from first contact to close
  • Target and develop new corporate audiences, including lookalike prospects and emerging markets
  • Represent the venue at external events, industry functions, and networking opportunities
  • Lead, coach, and performance-manage two direct reports to drive individual and team results
  • Maximise revenue through cross-selling across hospitality and events
  • Produce accurate pipeline forecasts and performance reporting
  • Work with internal stakeholders to continuously improve sales processes and ways of working
  • Ensure all activity is tracked accurately via CRM (Salesforce)

What We're Looking For

  • Proven success in new business-focused B2B sales
  • Experience selling high-value or premium solutions with longer sales cycles
  • Strong commercial acumen: pipeline management, targets, margin, and closing
  • Confidence engaging, influencing, and negotiating with senior decision-makers
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-profile environment
  • A visible "hunter" mindset - someone who enjoys being out, networking, and winning work

Leadership

  • Experience coaching, supporting, or line-managing others (formal or informal)
  • A leadership style that combines high standards with empathy and team engagement

Package & Benefits

  • £40,000 base salary
  • Competitive commission structure paid across all revenue streams
  • 1 day per week working from home
  • Access to a world-class sporting and events environment
  • Exposure to major events and premium hospitality
  • High profile events

Additional benefits include health & wellbeing support, financial wellbeing initiatives, staff discounts, ticket access, and bonus schemes.

If you love sales, events, hospitality, and sport - this is one to explore. Apply today and a member of the Stafforce team will be in touch.
