Looking to join a growing customs team where detail, compliance, and progression matter?

We're recruiting for multiple Customs Coordinators on behalf of a well-established and expanding logistics provider based in Newport. These roles sit at the heart of import/export operations-supporting the compliant and timely movement of cargo through UK ports.

If you've got a sharp eye for detail, experience in logistics or customs administration, and thrive in a fast-paced, high-compliance environment, this could be a perfect fit.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and submit accurate import/export customs declarations
  • Liaise with clients, hauliers, HMRC, agents, and internal teams
  • Input and update information using logistics/customs systems and government portals
  • Ensure full compliance with HMRC regulations and safety/security protocols
  • Monitor shipment progress and assist with document coordination
  • Respond to client queries promptly and professionally
  • Work flexibly, including participating in the on-call phone rota when required

What You'll Need:

  • Experience in logistics, transport admin, or customs clearance
  • Import/export knowledge preferred (training can be provided)
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise under pressure
  • Accuracy and attention to detail when handling data and documents
  • Good working knowledge of Excel and ability to pick up new systems quickly
  • Clear and confident communication with a professional approach
  • Team player attitude with the ability to work independently
