DOOR SEALING OPERATIVE

We are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Door Sealing Operative to join a well - established manufacturing site based on the outskirts of Hull. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with sealing and siliconing experience to work on a high - quality security doors, ensuring they meet weatherproofing, insulation, and fire safety standards.

Shift Pattern / Working Hours

Monday to Friday 8:00am till 4:30pm

The Door Sealing Operative role is available to start immediately and offers ongoing, long - term work. We are looking for candidates who take pride in precision work, have strong attention to detail and understand the importance of quality and compliance in security door manufacturing.

Job Description

As a Door Sealing Operative, you will be responsible for fitting and applying sealing systems to windows and door components on large security doors. This role plays a key part in ensuring products are draught- proof, weather - resistant, insulated and compliant with fire safety standards. Your duties will include:

• Applying silicone sealants around window units and door components to achieve a neat, professional finish.
• Installing weather strips and rubber seals to the edges, thresholds, and bases of security doors.
• Ensuring doors are fully weatherproof and draught- proof to prevent moisture, dust, light, and debris ingress
• Fitting fire- rated sealing systems in line with safety and compliance requirements
• Supporting the thermal and insulation performance of doors by correctly fitting seals that complement internal insulation
• Carrying out visual quality checks to ensure seals are continuous, secure, and free from defects
• Identifying and replacing seals that may be brittle, cracked, or damaged due to wear
• Following technical drawings, work instructions, and quality standards
• Adhering to all health & safety procedures and maintaining a clear, organised workplace.

The Successful Candidate:

To be considered for the position of Door Sealing Operative role you must have.

• Previous experience in sealing, siliconing, glazing or weatherproofing (essential)
• Experience working within a manufacturing, workshop, or industrial environment
• Good understanding of quality standards, compliance, and attention to detail
• Awareness of health & safety requirements
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• A reliable, punctual, and committed approach to work
