Experienced Port Operative -Liverpool

Are you hardworking, reliable, and looking for ongoing work within a busy port environment?

We are currently recruiting Stevedores / Port Operatives to join our expanding team on an ongoing basis.

This is an excellent opportunity to build a long-term career within a fast-paced dockside operation, supporting the safe loading and unloading of vessels handling bulk cargo and steel products.

The Role

As a Stevedore / Port Operative, your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with the safe loading and discharge of vessels
  • Working within cargo handling areas across the port
  • Handling general cargo, steel products, grain, and bulk materials
  • Supporting dockside operations in a safe and efficient manner
  • Following all site health & safety procedures

Please note:

  • This role involves working outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Cargo materials can be dusty, dirty, and have strong odours
  • Some duties may involve manual handling where mechanised equipment is not available
  • Flexibility is essential, as shifts can vary across days, nights, weekends, and holidays

Shift Patterns

  • Day and night shifts available

Requirements

Successful candidates will have:

  • Minimum 6 months of port operative experience
  • Excellent attendance and reliability
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Ability to work flexible shifts
  • A strong awareness of health & safety procedures
