Fabricator - Production Team
Location: Billingham
Pay Rates:

  • Induction: £13.06 per hour

  • Shift 6:00 - 14:00: £15.18 per hour

  • Shift 20:45 - 6:00: £17.02 per hour

Stafforce is currently recruiting a skilled and detail-oriented Fabricator to join our client's production team based in Billingham. This hands-on role involves grinding, tube straightening, and weld dressing using overhead cranes and related equipment. It's an excellent opportunity for someone looking for an immediate start and a potential permanent position following a successful period through Stafforce.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Tube Grinding & Straightening: Remove imperfections and straighten tubes to precise tolerances and smooth finishes.

  • Weld Dressing: Finish welds to meet quality and safety requirements, ensuring both visual and structural standards.

  • Overhead Crane Operation: Safely operate cranes to lift and move materials as needed.

  • Equipment Maintenance: Keep tools and machinery clean and in working order to support production efficiency.

  • Quality Control: Inspect finished components to ensure they meet all company standards.

  • Health & Safety: Follow all safety procedures, wear the correct PPE, and help maintain a safe working environment.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Previous experience in a fabrication or similar industrial role is essential.

  • Skills:

    • Knowledge of grinding, straightening, and weld dressing techniques.

    • Ability to operate an overhead crane (certification preferred).

    • Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality.

    • Understanding of workplace health and safety practices.
