Working hours for Farm Worker

FULL TIME HOURS- Dayshift Position

Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm, however candidates may occasionally be asked to start earlier.

Job description

Farm worker's are responsible for looking after the health and welfare and to assist in maximising production of a breeding herd to the standards set out by the Company in the policy and procedure manual, and as directed by the Unit Manager.

Main Responsibilities

  • To follow daily routines as set out in the procedure manual including feeding, bedding and day to day care of livestock.
  • To co-operate with the Unit Manager and the Area Manager in maintaining bio security in order to protect the health of the herd.
  • To undertake all husbandry duties.
  • To assist in the management of vaccination/medication programmes on the unit.
  • To monitor the health of the animals in your care in conjunction with the Unit Manager and to alert the Management should welfare be compromised in any way.
  • To ensure that the Unit is kept in good order, to ensure that the maintenance standards set out by the company are achieved including routine maintenance on site and fence repairs.
  • To operate as part of a team and co-operate with others at all times.

No previous experience required as full training is provided.
