Working hours for Feedmill Operator

FULL TIME HOURS - 12hrs Shifts - ROTATING SHIFT

Monday to Thursday 6am - 6pm/ 6pm - 6am (Rotating weekly)

Additional 15% Bonus on Nightshift.

Job description

A feed mill operator is responsible for producing high-quality animal feed that meets the nutritional needs of livestock. They play a crucial role in the animal agriculture industry, ensuring that livestock is healthy and well-fed, and that farms operate efficiently. Feedmill Operators are responsible for looking after production of feed by operating production Systems and maintaining a high level of hygiene in the workplace.

Main Responsibilities

· This role entails maintaining the production of feed by operating production systems.

· Further responsibilities are ensuring cleanliness of site by operating a clean as you go system.

  • To co-operate with the Unit Manager and the Area Manager in maintaining bio security in order to protect the health of the herd.
  • To undertake all husbandry duties.
  • To ensure that the Unit is kept in good order, to ensure that the maintenance standards set out by the company are achieved including routine maintenance on site and fence repairs.
  • To operate as part of a team and co-operate with others at all times.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a positive attitude.

No previous experience required as full training is provided.
