We are pleased to be recruiting a Finance Manager for our client in the Blackwood area.

Job Summary

The role of Finance Manager is a pivotal role sitting across all Group Companies and is responsible for the day-to-day Finance Management of the group to Directors and Investors. You will also be working closely with the Management Accountant (Part Time) in the preparation of monthly accounting reporting. This is an opportunity to own the finance function of the business and is a constantly developing role reporting directly to the Board including suggestions on Financial and Operational Improvements in the systems and processes used.

You will be working in a Team of 3 including Finance Manager (you!), Book Keeper (3/5 Part Time) and Management Accountant (2/5 Part Time currently).

Responsibilities and Duties

The below is not an exhaustive list of duties and you will be expected to perform different tasks as necessitated by your changing role within the organisation and the overall business objectives of the organisation.

· Overall Management of the Finance Function in the businesses including:

o Overseeing Day to Day Ledger and Bookkeeping Management for both AP and PL functions

o VAT Reconciliation and Quarterly Submissions

o Bank Reconciliation

o Credit Control Management including developing and operating a Credit Management Policy, managing Credit Risk and Exposure, submitting of regular statements to clients, account reconciliations, query management and flagging of credit risk and concerns as they develop with the Rental Team and Company Directors. This will also include Risk Scoring and making recommendations on New Client openings including Credit Limits as well as circulating Aged Receivables reports annotated with concerns to Operational Directors

o Management of our Invoice Finance Facility

o Preparation and Management of Supplier Payments

o Reconciliation and Management of inter-company loan accounts

o Cash Management between the Group Companies

o Manage Company Credit Cards and Fuel Cards

o Management of Book-Keeper including Line Management, Delegation of Workload and working as part of a team to deliver the above

· Working with our Management Accountant to assist compiling the following within 20 days of Month End:

o Full P&L and Balance Sheet - both by company and a consolidated group pack

o Asset Earnings by Generator Size and Utilisation Reports

o Accruals and Prepayments Schedule

o Transport Recovery information

o Additional Reports from time to time requested including ROI on specific assets including assisting in building business cases for new Capex requests within the business.

· Wider Financial Management Functions including:

o Management of relationship with Company Funders and Banking Arrangements

o Management of Payroll with our outside payroll processing bureau as well as Company Pension Scheme with NEST

o Recommendation of any improvements to processes, facilities, and ways of working for the ultimate benefit of the business

o Any other reasonable request from the Company Directors or Board.
