Job Title: Forklift Truck Driver

Location: Carlisle- driving licence required due the location of the site

Job Type: Temp to Perm

Shift: 4 on 4 off days (6am to 6pm) and nights (6pm to 6am)

Salary: £13.48 per hour

Job Overview:

We are seeking a reliable and experienced FLT Driver to join our warehouse team. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the warehouse by safely and efficiently operating forklift trucks to move, load, and unload goods.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate forklift trucks in a safe and efficient manner
  • Load and unload vehicles, ensuring accuracy and safety of goods
  • Transport materials to designated locations within the warehouse
  • Maintain accurate stock records and complete relevant documentation
  • Carry out routine safety checks and report any defects or maintenance needs
  • Ensure adherence to health and safety procedures at all times
  • Work collaboratively with other team members and supervisors

Requirements:

  • Valid Counterbalance FLT licence (e.g., RTITB or ITSSAR-accredited)- desirable
  • For this role we will consider those with relevant experience from in house licences as well
  • Previous experience in a warehouse environment preferred
  • Good understanding of warehouse health and safety regulations
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
