Flux Core Welder - Full Time position

We are recruiting experienced Flux Core Welders for a leading heavy engineering and manufacturing site based in Annan. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established business offering long-term, full-time work within a busy production environment.

The Role

As a Flux Core Welder, you will be responsible for carrying out high-quality welding work on a variety of large-scale fabrications and components. Candidates should be comfortable working to engineering drawings and adhering to strict quality standards.

Essential Experience

To be considered for this role, you should have experience with:

• Flux Core welding (essential).
• Welding T-joints, including root runs and backing fillets.
• Working with larger fillet welds of up to 25mm.
• Welding on pipes, nozzles, and tube assemblies.
• Producing high-quality welds in a heavy fabrication or industrial environment.
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings.

Desirable Experience

The following experience would be advantageous but is not essential:

• Working with ceramic backing systems/ceramic tiles.
• Experience replacing traditional root welding methods with ceramic-backed processes.
• Multi-process welding experience.

• Proven welding experience within heavy engineering, fabrication, shipbuilding, structural steel, pressure vessels, or similar industries.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable, hardworking, and safety-conscious approach.
