FORKLIFT DRIVER
Working in partnership with a leading manufacturing and processing business in Grimsby, we are recruiting an experienced and motivated Forklift Driver (Counterbalance). This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established company offering a competitive pay rate of £13.75 per hour, regular daytime working hours and the opportunity to secure long-term employment.

Shift Pattern / Working Hours

  • Monday to Friday: 6:00am - 4:00pm
  • Day shift position
  • Regular overtime may be available depending on business needs


Start Date / Duration
The Forklift Driver role is a Temp to Perm position with immediate starts available. However, should you have a notice period with your current employer, we will work around this.

Job Description
As a Forklift Driver, you will play a key role within the warehouse and production operation, ensuring raw materials and finished products are moved safely and efficiently throughout the site. Day-to-day duties will include:

  • Operating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck safely and efficiently.
  • Loading, unloading and transporting products throughout the site.
  • Handling and moving fish meal bags within warehouse and production areas.
  • Completing stock movements and warehouse transactions using computer systems.
  • Carrying out manual handling duties, including lifting bags up to 25kg.
  • Assisting with stock control and warehouse organisation.
  • Completing routine warehouse and production paperwork accurately.
  • Maintaining high standards of housekeeping and cleanliness.
  • Following all Health & Safety procedures at all times.
  • Supporting other warehouse and manufacturing activities where required.


The Successful Candidate
To be considered for the position of Forklift Driver, we are looking for candidates who:

  • Hold a valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence.
  • Have a minimum of 2 years' Forklift Truck experience.
  • Hold a full UK Driving Licence.
  • Are computer literate and comfortable using warehouse management systems.
  • Are willing to combine forklift duties with manual warehouse tasks.
  • Are physically fit and capable of lifting products weighing up to 25kg.
  • Have excellent Health & Safety awareness.
  • Are reliable with excellent attendance and timekeeping.
  • Can work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Have a positive attitude and strong work ethic.

Rotator experience would be advantageous but is not essential. Candidates with experience operating other types of material handling equipment will also be considered.
