We are seeking a skilled and reliable Forklift Operator to join our busy Port team. This role is ideal for someone who has strong forklift experience, excellent attention to safety, and a desire to work in a fast-paced port environment.
As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of goods across the site. You'll operate forklift trucks to load, unload, transport, and store materials while ensuring high standards of safety and productivity.
Operate forklift trucks (Counterbalance / Reach) safely and efficiently.
Load and unload HGVs, pallets, stock, and materials.
Move goods around the warehouse or yard to support day-to-day operations.
Carry out daily forklift safety checks and report faults or hazards.
Complete basic warehouse tasks such as stock rotation, picking, packing, and inventory support.
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
Follow all health & safety, manual handling, and site procedures.
Valid Forklift Licence (Counterbalance, Reach, or both).
Previous experience as a Forklift Operator, FLT Driver, or Warehouse Operative.
Strong understanding of warehouse operations and safe material handling.
Ability to work quickly, accurately, and safely in a busy logistics environment.
Good communication skills and teamwork abilities.
Physically capable of manual and lifting tasks.
Experience in logistics, warehousing, manufacturing, distribution, or port operations.
Ability to operate additional machinery such as VNA, clamp trucks, or pallet stackers.
