Furnace Operator

🕒 Rotating Shifts:

• 6:00am - 2:00pm
• 2:00pm - 10:00pm
• 10:00pm - 6:00am

Stafforce Recruitment are recruiting for a Furnace Operator to join a leading manufacturing company in Rotherham. This is an excellent opportunity offering long-term work with the chance of a permanent contract.

The Role

• Set up and operate strand annealing furnaces
• Monitor furnace temperatures, gas flow and running speeds
• Carry out quality and process checks throughout production
• Remove, weigh and inspect finished products
• Follow the daily production plan and complete production records
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment
• Adhere to all Health & Safety procedures when working with furnaces and machinery

What We're Looking For

• Previous manufacturing or factory experience (steel industry experience desirable)
• Good attention to detail and quality standards
• Strong understanding of Health & Safety
• Good communication skills and a positive attitude
• FLT licence desirable but not essential
