Job Details

• Operate and monitor the hopper room equipment, including the loading and unloading of bulk materials
• Ensure continuous and even material flow into and out of the hoppers.
• Conduct regular inspections and cleaning of hopper machinery to ensure optimal functionality.
• Identify and report any mechanical faults or malfunctions, and collaborate with maintenance teams for prompt repairs.
• Maintain accurate records of material quantities, flow rates, and operational activities.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations, wearing appropriate PPE at all times.
• Handle and dispose of materials according to company guidelines and environmental standards.
• Ensure the cleanliness and organisation of the hopper room, avoiding any blockages or overflow.
• Assist with material inventory management and stock control where necessary.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Previous experience in a similar role (hopper operations, bulk material handling, or industrial environment) is preferred but not essential.
• Familiarity with operating and maintaining hopper systems or related machinery.
• Strong understanding of health and safety practices, especially in hazardous environments.
• Good mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physically fit and capable of working in a demanding environment.
• Basic knowledge of inventory or material tracking systems (desirable).
