GENERAL OPERATIVE

We are seeking hard working and proactive General Operatives on behalf of our client, a well - established manufacturing business based outside of Hull. This is an excellent opportunity for reliable and hardworking individuals to join a growing operation with long - term work available.

Shift Pattern / Working Hours

Monday to Thursday 6am - 3pm and Friday 6am - 12pm

Start date / Duration

The General Operative role is available to start as soon as possible, and it is initially temporary, with the opportunity to become permanent for candidates with the opportunity to become permanent for candidates with the right attitude, reliability and commitment.

Job Description

As a General Operative, you will be responsible for the supporting of the full production line operation, ensuring timber and other materials and processed efficiently and safely. Your duties will include:

• Flipping, turning and loading timber and components onto the production line
• Assisting with the assembly and preparation of the products
• Packing, labelling and preparing finished products for dispatch
• Ensuring all materials are handled safely and stored correctly
• Following production processes, quality standards and operational instructions
• Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working environment
• Working closely with team members to meet daily production targets
• Supporting ad hoc production tasks as required

The Successful Candidate:

To be considered for the position of General Operative you must have.

• Proven experience in production, manufacturing, ideally involving timber, panel materials, or assembly lines
• Strong understanding of material handling and production workflow
• Excellent organisation and problem- solving skills, able to prioritise tasks.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast - paced, hands on environment
• Basic experience with tools and production experience
• Be reliable, self - motivated, and driven with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn

· Have previous experience with manufacturing production

· Have experience working with timber or similar products

· Be reliable, punctual and committed with willingness to learn.

· Physically fit and able to work in a fast- paced environment
