We're on the lookout for a Goods In Operative to join our well established and respected client based in Loughborough on a full-time basis. This role is temporary ongoing for 4 - 6 months with possible extension.

Salary: £12.21 per hour.

Hours: 07:15 - 16:45 Monday to Thursday and 07:15 - 12:15 Friday.

The Role:

As a Goods In Operative, you will manage and control all aspects of goods inwards, stores and goods outwards by liaising with the purchasing and production departments as well as suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:

· Receive goods and check delivery notes against orders ensuring materials are as per order.

· Utilise management information software to manage materials coming into the company.

· Advise material handler and/or prep shop manager (or deputies in their absence) of delivery. Advise delivery driver of off-loading location.

· If required, liaise with transport coordinator / prep shop manager and report any issues with delivery to company buyer. Instruct delivery driver of any further requirements and reject or correct delivery ticket.

· Inspect delivered stores items ensuring quantity and quality are correct and acceptable and ensure packaging has correct information and identification. If required liaise with purchasing over any non-conforming items.

· Check and confirm supplied consumable items are in line with requisition.

· Review consumable stock levels and complete requisition sheet for required items and pass to Production Office for purchase.

· Ensure suitable stock levels are maintained and advise of low levels to production management.

· Manage the stores area controlling fixings, consumables, consignment stocks and site returns. Ensure items are stored correctly and efficiently.

· Ensure Goods-In / Stores are manned at all times during working day (reasonable breaks accepted).

· Manage issuing of PPE as per company procedures.

· Manage issuing of consumables as per company procedures.

· Manage the distribution or storage of delivery and quality documentation relating to all goods entering the business.

· Ensure duties are carried out according to the company's health and safety policy.

· Ensure ongoing development through training and continuous process improvement.

· Assist in the ongoing development of a robust QA system throughout the group.

Essential Requirements:

· IT literacy is required, daily use of the business system, generating spreadsheets and operating within a standard Windows system.

· Forklift truck licence.
