We are currently recruiting for our well established client in Burgh le Marsh, we are looking for Graders to work on the production line de-nesting egg packaging.

Working hours: 4on 4 off/Days 6am-6pm

Pay: £11.44

Responsibilities:

  • To be able to load the de-nester quickly and efficiently with the right type and size of carton placed in the correct position, to fill the orders being packed on each line.
  • To re-set the de-nester to take every type and size of carton.
  • To check print on egg at start of each production run or change in egg system type and verify its correctness.
  • Ensure a constant supply of the correct cartons is available at the back of the de-nester to fill the day's orders.
  • When appropriate, alter the size of the de-nester holder for different cartons being used, following the manufacturer instructions for safe operation.
  • Verify at shift start up that egg weight bands are correctly set according to legal requirements.
  • Ensure that product being packed in each lane is of the size required. For mixed / minimum nett weight packs consult with the Quality department if there is doubt over the suitability of any particular batch of eggs to meet the required pack weight, before commencing production.
  • Inform the pack runner that an order is nearing completion and to have the next orders cartons ready for loading into the de-nester to avoid any delay between orders.
  • Set the lane packer computer with the correct pack code for the cartons in use on each line.
  • Keep your working area clean and tidy at all times, placing any rubbish in the bins provided.
  • Always keep cartons waiting to be used neat and tidy.
