HGV Shunter Driver - Carlisle

We're currently recruiting for an experienced Shunter Driver to join our client's busy transport team based in Carlisle.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in vehicle movement and yard operations, looking to join a well-established and professional company.

Essentials

• Tue - Sat
• Starting - 4am
• Finishing - 12:45pm
• £15.28ph

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely manoeuvre HGVs and trailers around the yard and loading bays
• Ensure trailers are correctly positioned for loading/unloading
• Carry out vehicle checks and report any defects
• Work closely with warehouse and transport teams to ensure smooth operations
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Shunter Driver (essential)
• Valid HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) licence
• Knowledge of yard safety and vehicle movement procedures
• Good communication skills and a proactive attitude
• Flexibility to work shifts if required
