Junior Buyer - 6-Month Fixed-Term Contract
Location: On-site at our UK head office in Amesbury
Working Hours:

  • Monday to Thursday: 08:30 - 17:00 (with a half-hour unpaid lunch)
  • Friday: 08:30 - 12:30
    Total Weekly Hours: 36

Job Overview
We are looking for a motivated Junior Buyer to join our client on a 6-month fixed-term contract. In this role, you will assist in sourcing high-quality products for our manufacturing operations. Working alongside the Procurement Manager and the Head of Supply Chain, you'll be responsible for processing purchase orders, monitoring inventory levels, tracking deliveries, and ensuring accurate record-keeping. You'll collaborate closely with various departments to ensure products are sourced effectively, meeting our cost, quality, and availability objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the procurement team in the purchasing of goods and services
  • Process purchase orders and monitor stock levels
  • Track orders and ensure timely deliveries
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all transactions
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal teams

Skills and Experience

  • At least 1 year of experience in purchasing, supply chain, or administrative roles (preferred)
  • Understanding of basic purchasing processes and order procedures
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organisational and time-management abilities
  • Ability to foster positive working relationships with suppliers and colleagues
