Stafforce, working in partnership with Sofina Foods, are recruiting for a Key Operative to join our busy Humberstone Road site.
These roles will go permanent after length of service for the right candidate.
As a Key Operative you will;
- Ensure manufacturing processes run smoothly and safely
- Manage raw materials, labour equipment and the safe operation of your area, whilst supporting production
- Collaborate with teams to meet food quality standards, prioritise safety and lead innovative projects
- Work to create a safer, more efficient workplace and driving meaningful results.
Shift pattern;
2x8 rotation (working 0600-1400 one week, and 1400-2200 the next).
Key responsibilities;
- To act as a professional and trusted advisor to your Line Manager in all production and packing / distribution matters relating to the relevant site.
- Regular constructive engagement with, and co-ordination of, the broader teams (other sites, HSE Depts) to facilitate the local delivery of site production goals.
- To act as a role model for safety behaviours on site and be able to deliver quantifiable results in reporting safety issues, health issues and deal with these proactively.
- Liaise with the Management on site for any safety reasonable requests.
- Responsible for own health and safety in area in line with company procedures from handbooks, signage, induction, notifications and training documentation.
- Reporting any safety, health or environmental incidents without delay to Line Manager.
- Responsible for coaching fellow work colleagues and new members of the One Young's team on health and safety in area in line with company procedures.
- Responsible for the active health, safety and environmental improvement of the area in which you operate within.
- Responsible for ensuring area complies with high safety standards and takes active participation in health, safety and environmental audits.
The ideal candidate;
- Able to work with peers in a matrix structure to draw in external skilled to achieve local goals
- Proven record of delivery
- Previous experience of checking and completing paperwork to a highly accurate standard.
