Location: Immingham Dock

Salary: £28,000 - £34,500

176 guaranteed hours contract. (176 hours per month)

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and safety-conscious Loading Shovel Operator to join our busy port and warehouse operations team. You will be responsible for operating heavy plant machinery to move, load, and manage bulk materials safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate loading shovel machinery for the movement, loading, and unloading of bulk goods

  • Conduct daily machine checks and report any maintenance issues promptly

  • Assist with stockpiling, tipping, and general yard/warehouse duties as required

  • Work closely with supervisors and warehouse teams to ensure smooth operations

  • Follow all site health & safety policies, environmental standards, and safe working practices

Requirements

  • Previous experience operating a loading shovel (essential)

  • Valid or expired loading shovel licence / certification (NPORS or equivalent)

  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Strong awareness of health & safety in a busy port/warehouse environment

  • Ability to work shifts, including weekends and nights if required

  • Team player with good communication and reliability
