Loading Shovel Driver - guarenteed 176 hour contract

Location: Immingham
Hours: 12 hour shifts
Contract: Temp-to-Perm


Join a Fast-Paced, Safety-Driven Industrial Team

We are looking for an experienced and safety-conscious Loading Shovel Driver to join our busy operations. Working within a high-performing team, you'll play a key role in handling and moving bulk materials efficiently and safely.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate loading shovels to transport materials such as aggregates, scrap, waste, or recyclables across site.

  • Load hoppers, feeders, and vehicles with precision and awareness.

  • Carry out daily vehicle checks and basic maintenance of machinery.

  • Maintain a clean and safe working area, complying with all site Health & Safety standards.

  • Report any defects, hazards, or issues promptly to the supervisor.

  • Support wider yard or plant duties as required (e.g., traffic control, general labouring).


Requirements:

  • Valid and in-date Loading Shovel ticket (e.g., NPORS, CPCS or equivalent).

  • Proven experience operating a loading shovel in an industrial, quarry, recycling, or construction environment.

  • Strong understanding of site safety protocols.

  • Physically fit, reliable, and able to work as part of a team.

  • Flexibility for working days and hours.


Desirable (but not essential):

  • Counterbalance or telehandler licence.

  • Experience working in waste management, quarries, aggregates, or dockside environments.

  • Mechanical understanding or plant maintenance awareness.
