Logistics Coordinator
Caerphilly & surrounding, South Wales
Full-Time | Permanent | £26,000-£28,000 per annum (DOE)
Monday to Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm (37.5 hours/week)
We're recruiting for a growing manufacturing business at the heart of innovation in sustainable packaging. As they expand across the UK and Europe, they're looking for a proactive and highly organised Logistics Coordinator to join their team in the Caerphilly area.
This is a key role within the operations function, coordinating the efficient flow of materials and products between suppliers, customers, and internal departments. You'll work closely with planning, warehouse, and customer service teams to ensure goods move on time, cost-effectively, and with full traceability.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Manage all inbound and outbound logistics activities across the UK and Europe.
- Liaise with transport providers to book and confirm collections/deliveries.
- Plan routes, optimise loads, and consolidate shipments to reduce costs and maximise efficiency.
- Monitor and report on transport KPIs and service level performance.
- Maintain accurate records of all logistics movements using the ERP system (NetSuite).
- Prepare and verify export documentation, shipment labels, and customs paperwork as needed.
- Process RMAs and stock adjustments, ensuring full system accuracy.
- Collaborate daily with internal teams to align dispatch and delivery schedules.
- Support quarterly reviews with data reporting on performance and logistics spend.
- Deal promptly with any transport issues or delays, keeping all stakeholders informed.
Key Goals & Success Measures:
- Achieve and maintain a 98%+ on-time delivery rate.
- Improve cost efficiency through carrier negotiation and route optimisation.
- Maintain 99%+ booking and stock accuracy in NetSuite.
- Process RMA requests within 48 hours, ensuring visibility across teams.
- Provide regular insights on carrier performance and support continuous improvement.
What We're Looking For:
- Previous experience in logistics, supply chain, or transport coordination.
- Strong knowledge of UK and European transport networks; global shipping experience is a bonus.
- ERP system experience - NetSuite preferred.
- Proven ability to manage multiple logistics activities under pressure.
- Analytical mindset with a keen eye for process improvement and cost savings.
- Confident communicator with excellent organisation and reporting skills.
- Comfortable negotiating with transport providers and resolving delivery challenges.
