Machine Operative (Temporary - 3 Weeks)

📍 Location: Sheffield
💰 Rate: £12.21 per hour
🕒 Hours: Monday to Thursday (7:15 AM - 4:15 PM), Friday (7:15 AM - 12:30 PM)
⏳ Duration: Temporary (3 weeks) - Overtime may be required

Job Description:

We are seeking a Machine Operative for a temporary 3-week role to assist one of our clients in their busy warehouse. The primary responsibilities will include:

• Operating semi-automatic bandsaws to cut steel from stock, following works orders.
• Managing stock control to minimise waste and ensure efficient operations.
• Organising off cuts systematically for easy identification and retrieval.
• Packing and dispatching orders as per dispatch notes, ensuring accuracy before shipment.
• Adhering to company Health & Safety policies and safe working practices at all times.
• Supporting the warehouse team and assisting with general duties as required by the Warehouse Manager.

Requirements:

✔️ Previous experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment preferred.
✔️ Ability to operate bandsaws and handle steel safely.
✔️ Strong attention to detail, particularly with stock control and order accuracy.
✔️ Commitment to following Health & Safety regulations.
✔️ Flexibility to work overtime when required.
