Job description

Role - Mechanical Fitter

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Fitter with HGV Trailer/Plant knowledge and experience to join our friendly team based at our Yorkshire Depot in Hull. Starting as soon as possible, this is a full-time, permanent role with 40 hours per week basic contract position, working Monday to Friday and reporting to the Workshop/Transport Manager.

There are also plenty of opportunities for regular overtime including weekends. This is a vast and varied role.

The role of Plant/Hydraulics Fitter is essential to our business and a key part of the Industrial Services team. The job involves general workshop duties of heavy plant and HGV vehicles.

About You

-The ideal candidate will have experience in maintenance of LGV Trailer, site plant equipment, vehicle plant and associated accessories

- Able to work as part of a team

- A good communicator with a professional attitude when dealing with members of staff, clients, customers and suppliers

-Good knowledge of maintenance systems is essential, as is the ability to organise and plan in a logical manner

- A positive and proactive approach to safety is a given.

Benefits:

Starting rate £16.56 per hour - time and half paid after eight hours and Saturdays and double time for Sundays/Bank holidays. Our fitters average annual salary from £39,000 + per annum.
