Metal Dresser - Immediate Start - Temp to Perm Opportunity
Stafforce is currently recruiting for a reliable and detail-oriented Metal Dresser to join our client's busy production team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with hands-on experience in metalwork, offering the chance of a permanent role following a successful temporary period.
Key Responsibilities:
Tube Grinding & Straightening: Remove imperfections and straighten tubes to precise tolerances, ensuring smooth surfaces and proper alignment.
Weld Dressing: Finish and smooth welds to meet quality and safety standards, maintaining a clean appearance and structural strength.
Overhead Crane Operation: Safely operate overhead cranes to move and position tubes and materials as required.
Tool & Equipment Maintenance: Carry out routine cleaning and basic maintenance of tools, machinery, and workspaces to ensure safe, efficient operations.
Quality Assurance: Inspect completed work for defects, ensuring all products meet company specifications and quality standards.
Health & Safety: Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, wearing appropriate PPE and promoting a safe working environment.
Requirements:
Proven experience in a similar labouring or metal finishing role is essential.
Familiarity with grinding, straightening, and welding techniques.
Overhead crane operation experience (certification desirable).
Excellent attention to detail and a strong focus on quality.
Solid understanding of workplace safety procedures.
Pay Rates:
Base Rate: £13.09 per hour
Early Shift (6:00 - 14:00): £15.18 per hour
Late Shift (13:45 - 20:45): £16.32 per hour
Night Shift (20:45 - 6:00): £17.02 per hour
