Job duties;
- TIG welding to ASME IX for casting repair and upgrade of both ferrous and non-ferrous materials.
- Consumable stock control - ie weld wire, electrode etc.
- Checks for chamber environment pre weld should vacuum chamber welding be conducted
- Assessment of excavation site i.e. the condition of the prep for welding, this may involve manual dressing to suit.
- Welding components in accordance with the relevant WPS documentation.
- Conduct relevant weld qualification tests as required
- Visual inspection of welds by other welders (post training )
- Conduct casting upgrade (finishing) activities as and when required.
Hours of work;
Monday to Thursday - 8am to 4.40pm, Friday 8am to 3.30pm - 39 hours worked
