We are currently recruiting for a Mill Operative on behalf of our client in Navenby, Lincoln. This is a full time, permanent opportunity.

Working Monday to Thursday 8am - 4pm and Friday 8am - 3pm whilst training. You will then go onto 4 on 4 off, 12 hour shifts rotating days and nights.

Job purpose:

To carry out the day to day activities associated with the running of the Mill, to ensure that it runs safely and efficiently meeting all required standards and targets.

As the Operative (Yard) you will be required to work on your own initiative with guidance available when required.

The purpose of this role is to assist the Mill Staff in the performance of their duties. The job entails both inside and outside working to maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the site. The successful candidate will be expected to unload and load lorries with the utmost care and attention, ensuring stocks are carefully dealt with at all times.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Process the intake of raw materials in correct manner and carry out quality control checks on relevant materials.
  • Load finished feed into vehicles ensuring feed loaded corresponds with weight and feed specified on delivery note
  • Add supplements and Medicinals to feed during the process as and when required.
  • Recognise the importance of Quality Control and to inform your Manager / Supervisor of any incidents which may impact on this.

Skills and experience required:

  • Full clean driving license (essential)
  • Good communication skills
  • Organised.
  • Team player.
  • Flexible approach to work demands.
  • FLT licence (desirable)
  • Previous experience in a similar roll (desirable)
