We are currently recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer on behalf of our well established client on the outskirts of Lincoln.
Shift pattern: Monday to Friday 8am - 4pm.
Salary from £40,000 depending on experience.
You will be required to drive engineering improvements in mechanical, electrical and pump system areas across our site.
You need to be passionate and motivated with an eye for detail; able to both manage projects and data, whilst being "hands-on-tools" when the role requires:
* Maintain equipment to optimal standards. Ensure all machinery and equipment are kept in peak condition, and document through diligent planned preventive maintenance (PPM) systems
* Swiftly address faults and breakdowns and respond to production requests. Employ fault-finding techniques to promptly resolve issues and provide engineering assistance, communicating effectively with affected parties, and work efficiently to rectify problems
* Minimize breakdowns and seek improvements. Keep equipment in good working order, identify opportunities to reduce downtime costs, and upkeep planned maintenance program
* Plan for machinery downtime. Coordinate with production teams to schedule service, modifications, or necessary repairs
* Manage spare parts inventory. Maintain stock of essential spare parts where practicable and procure parts for service and repair work
* Follow ISO (quality and safety) standards and ensure safe and efficient work practices. Perform tasks in compliance with health and safety regulations, whilst adhering to quality management systems, retailer-specific standards or other set procedures
* Assist with new equipment installation. Support the installation and commissioning of new machinery
* Enhance production team knowledge. Collaborate with production teams to improve their understanding of equipment and problem-solving skills
* Stay updated with technical knowledge. Participate in workshops, review professional publications and benchmark best practices
* Complete additional tasks as needed. Undertake other duties as reasonably requested
