Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer Mechanical Electrical

Permanent | Full-time

We are currently recruiting for Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineers (Mechanical & Electrical) to join a well-established, global manufacturing business operating within a demanding industrial environment.

The Role

You will support the Maintenance function by ensuring both mechanical and electrical systems are maintained to a high standard. This includes planned maintenance, reactive breakdown response, and supporting ongoing site improvements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across site equipment
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults
  • Support installation and commissioning of equipment
  • Maintain compliance with safety standards and complete risk assessments
  • Work with control systems and assist with plant monitoring systems
  • Liaise with contractors and internal stakeholders
  • Ensure maintenance activities are completed efficiently and safely

Requirements

  • Time-served apprenticeship in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • Multi-skilled capability (mechanical & electrical fault finding)
  • Experience in a heavy or industrial manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of PLCs / control systems (advantageous)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or within a team
  • Good communication and basic IT skills

Shift Pattern

  • Initially 2-shift (Days & Backs), moving to a 3-shift pattern
