Operations & Administrative Assistant

Working Hours: Monday-Friday, 7:00am - 5:00pm

Work Location: On-site, Newport

We're looking for a proactive and highly organised Operations & Administrative Assistant to support the smooth running of our clients busy Newport site

In this role, you'll work closely with the Site Manager and operational team to help keep key processes on track - from order handling and stock coordination to managing delivery schedules and maintaining accurate records

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately process customer fertiliser orders and issue order confirmations.
  • Coordinate booking‑in procedures with hauliers and schedule deliveries efficiently.
  • Maintain up‑to‑date stock visibility and support regular stock counts.
  • Investigate and report stock discrepancies.
  • Assist the Site Manager with production planning and stock forecasting.
  • Communicate professionally with customers, hauliers, and internal teams.
  • Keep office systems, records, and documentation organised and up to date.
  • Provide wider administrative and operational support as needed across the site.

Skills & Experience

  • 1-2 years' experience in an administrative, logistics, or office support role (preferred).
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Confident communicator with good coordination and multitasking ability.
  • Comfortable working in a busy, fast‑moving environment.
  • Solid IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel.
  • A proactive approach with the ability to use initiative and support team needs.
