Stafforce are looking for Packing Operatives, offering immediate starts for our client in Scunthorpe, DN16

Working in partnership with TAYTO/Golden Wonder in Scunthorpe we are recruiting reliable, hardworking Packers to work on weekends. This is a fantastic opportunity to work for an Employer of Choice that offers career progression, factory operative training opportunities and great pay.

Packing Operative shift patterns available:

PART TIME:

  • Saturday 6am-6pm - Payrate £12.80/h
  • Sunday 6am-6pm - Payrate £12.80/h

Main Purpose of Role:

Initially pack product so that production lines can be run at optimum efficiency with minimum waste. Clean the factory fabric and machinery using appropriate methods. Eventually cover as a Relief Machine Operative when full training has been received and signed off as competent.

Principal Tasks: (training provided)

To have knowledge of the following safety requirements:

  • Safety (Emergency stops, air lines disconnects)
  • Location of Safety equipment on all machines
  • Lock off procedure
  • Safe Working Practice
  • Wearing of correct PPE
  • Safe Manual Handling

To have a full understanding and be competent in the following general operating procedures:

  • Pack into standard cases
  • Pack into multipack cases
  • Understanding of packing configurations
  • Pack into Flow Wrap cassettes
  • Good housekeeping practices
  • Routine packing tasks reject recycling
  • Cleaning tasks as required

Changeovers - assist in changeovers, including ensuring allergen control.

Quality - maintain high quality standards at all times, carrying out regular checks as required and in accordance with operating procedures to include checking codes, seals and weights.

Assist with any quarantine issues as and when required.

Carry out any other reasonable duties suitable to the level and responsibilities of this role as required.

Experience, Skills & Behaviours:

  • Must have good knowledge or be willing to learn about packaging, performance and capability
  • To work on own initiative and as part of a team
  • Maintain good housekeeping and hygiene standards throughout area of responsibility
  • Numerate and literate
