Full time & Part-time hours available.

We have great opportunities across the Humber Ports offering both full time and part-time work.

What will you be doing:

  • Pinning - a twistlock is placed into or removed from each underside corner of a container.
  • Tabbing - making sure the handles of large fertilizer sacks are easily accessible to allow them to be moved.
  • Weighbridge - making sure to accurately record weights of trucks and containers
  • Tallying - making sure the correct containers are coming onto and off site.
  • Handballing - manual handling.
  • Plant driving - operating various pieces of machinery including FLT, Tug, RoRo, Loading Shovel (full training will be provided)

Desirable:

  • Full UK driving licence
  • Valid or Expired Counterbalance Forklift Truck
  • HGV licence
  • Valid or Expired Payloader / Shovel Licence
  • Experience in similar role such as port operative, stevedore, CSCS labourer, plant driver, forklift driver, shovel driver, vehicle banksman, slinger banksman, crane driver, quarry operative, warehouse operative, weighbridge is highly desirable
  • Previous experience working with commodities such as Steel, 1t Bags or Timber.

The Humber ports operate 7 days a week giving opportunity and flexibility to working patterns.
