Location: Immingham Dock
Shift Pattern: Flexible shifts, including nights/weekends
Salary: £12.21 - £15.07 per hour
We are currently recruiting Port Operatives to join our hardworking and safety-conscious team at Immingham Port. As a key part of our port operations, you'll help keep cargo moving efficiently and safely - whether that's loading vehicles onto RoRo vessels, securing freight, or working as part of the quayside team.
Assist with the loading and unloading of ships, including vehicles, containers, and general cargo.
Use lashing and securing equipment to safely fasten cargo.
Operate basic port equipment (with training): ramps, vehicle scanners, tow bars, etc.
Direct traffic within port limits (banksman duties).
Follow Health & Safety procedures and use correct PPE at all times.
Work collaboratively with vessel crews, port supervisors, and logistics staff.
Maintain tidy and hazard-free work areas.
Strong team player with a positive attitude.
Physically fit and willing to work outdoors in all weather.
Comfortable with flexible shift work and tight turnaround times.
Full UK Driving Licence (essential for vehicle-handling roles).
Previous port, warehouse, logistics, or RoRo experience is desirable but not essential - full training provided.
Counterbalance Forklift / Tug / Shunter / Plant experience.
Banksman / Traffic Marshal certification.
Full induction and on-the-job training.
Progression routes into tug driving, crane ops, and logistics supervision.
Uniform & PPE provided.
