PPE SERVICE ASSISTANT

We are requiting a motivated, highly organised individual to commence employment as a PPE Service Assistant with a global supplier of PPE equipment based in Hull (HU8). This is a fantastic opportunity to work for company who strive to deliver exceptionally high levels of service to their customers, offering a starting salary of £25,396 increasing after successful completion of probationary period.

Shift pattern/ Working hours:

Monday to Friday 8am - 4pm.

The PPE Service Assistant position is a Permanent position that will commence with immediate effect however, should you have a notice period with your current employer, we will work around this.

Job Description

As a PPE Service Assistant you will be responsible for inspecting and testing a variety of Personal Protective and Safety Equipment. Your day to day duties will include;

  • Carrying out tests and inspection of PPE equipment and supplies
  • Ensuring all equipment and supplies are up to standard and compliant with regulations.
  • Using diagnostic equipment to test and identify faults with PPE equipment and supplies.
  • Completing accurate documentation and recording all inspections
  • Undertaking off site inspections as and when required by the business.
  • Completing additional ad hoc duties when required to meet the needs of the business

Requirements

To be considered for the position of PPE Service Assistant you will;

  • Ideally have experience testing and inspecting PPE equipment or be willing to learn how to conduct such tests
  • Have excellent attention to detail - statutory testing is a legal requirement therefore this is of the upmost importance!
  • Be highly organised and have a proactive approach to working
  • Have good levels of written and verbal English and a good understanding of Microsoft packages (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Be willing to travel domestically and overseas when qualified
  • Have the ability to work alone as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Be able to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Have great problem solving and analytical abilities, with a curious and inquisitive mind
  • Be able to work well with others across diverse backgrounds to share information, develop skills, and deliver results.
  • Have excellent resilience with the ability to persist and adapt
