Stafforce are working in partnership with Sofina Seafood recruiting for Process Control Operatives for their busy site in central Grimsby. These position will lead to perm contracts following a probationary period.

Hours; 2x8 shift (rotating weekly between 5am-1pm and 1pm-9pm)

Payrate; £13.53.

The role;

Reporting into the Line Leader you will be responsible for the management of the line in the absence of the Line Leader Role Purpose: reporting into the Line Leader you will be responsible for the management of the line in the absence of the Line Leader and also be responsible for the food safety and quality of the product(s) you produce in line with customer specification and exceptional quality standards to assist in the delivery of production plans to achieve all manufacturing and product quality targets.

This role includes lots of manual lifting of up to 25kg bags throughout the shift so the successful candidate will be need to be physically fit.

Key responsibilities;

  • Documenting the time line of safety and quality checks to confirm with legislation and customer requirements.
  • Ensuring Line / Area operating within adheres to food safety and quality requirements of our customers and reporting non-conformances where applicable.
  • Ensuing right ingredients, product, labels and packaging are ready for production / packing and the integrity of the products being delivered to line comply with requirements .
  • Recording data accurately, concisely with honesty.
  • Ensuring the quality of the product on the line is checked at consistent intervals and coaching fellow work colleagues on how to achieve right first-time conformance.
  • Ensure MI is consistent, honest, open, routinely reviewed.
  • Responsible for ensuring machinery hygiene checks are completed in line with company protocol.
  • Reporting hygiene defects promptly to the Hygiene Department and Line Manager.
  • To assist in the driving of the line / area to produce best possible outcomes for audits and maintain audit standards year on year and deliver outstanding performance.
  • To ensure the food safety, legality and quality of finished goods are complied with and consider Production & Packing solutions for these, to continually challenge and improve systems, processes people, structure and machinery
  • Ensure Machinery is set up correctly for the production line to run efficiently.

Skills and experience required;

  • 3 Years experience of food production, with an eye for details in a fast paced food production operation.
  • Level 3 Food Hygeine
  • Good level of numeracy and literacy skills
  • HACCP
  • Customer Awareness
