Production / On-Site Trainer

About the Role
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Production / On-Site Trainer to support the development and performance of employees within a busy production environment.
This is a hands-on role, working directly on the shop floor to deliver training, coaching, and support to new and existing team members. You will be responsible for ensuring employees are fully trained, competent, and working safely while maintaining quality and productivity standards.
The successful candidate will be passionate about developing people, building capability, and helping create a positive, high-performing workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver on-site training and coaching across production operations.
• Conduct inductions and onboarding for new starters.
• Support employees through skills development and competency assessments.
• Maintain accurate training records and training matrices.
• Work closely with supervisors and managers to identify training needs.
• Ensure all training is delivered in line with company procedures, health & safety requirements, and quality standards.
• Monitor training effectiveness and provide regular feedback.
• Assist in creating and updating training materials, guides, and standard operating procedures.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and best practices across the operation.
• Act as a point of contact for employee development and training queries.

Candidate Requirements
Essential

• Previous experience as a Production Trainer, On-Site Trainer, Training Coordinator, Team Leader, or similar role within a manufacturing, production, or warehouse environment.
• Strong communication and people-development skills.
• Ability to coach, mentor, and engage employees at all levels.
• Good organisational and administration skills.
• Confident delivering practical, hands-on training.
• A proactive and positive approach to problem-solving.
• Competent using Microsoft Office and training documentation systems.

Desirable

• Train the Trainer qualification.
• Experience working within FMCG, food production, automotive, engineering, or high-volume manufacturing.
• Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies.
• Understanding of competency-based training and assessment processes.
