Production Operator

Salary: £37,500- £38,500 + Generous employee benefits

Working Hours: no weekends

Monday - Thursday 6am-6pm and Friday 6am - 4pm

We are seeking to appoint a Production Operator at our prestigious client's site in the Thirsk area to join their friendly team. The primary purpose of this role is to weigh out and prepare microweighs in accordance with production plans, ensuring that raw materials are accurately measured for manufacturing processes.

Production Operator Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare micro-weighed mixes based on formulations and work instructions.
  • Collaborate closely with blending operators and the production planning team to ensure daily production targets are met.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work area, ensuring the facility's equipment and materials are well-kept.
  • Operate all equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to prescribed work methods.
  • Comply with COSHH standards and follow MSDS recommendations.
  • Report any quality variances and assist in maintaining proper stock rotation.
  • Transfer raw materials from the warehouse to production storage locations.
  • Utilise appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
  • Participate in physical inventory checks and perform additional duties as assigned.

Production Operator Skills:

  • Understanding of COSHH regulations
  • Good work ethic
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Valid FLT license is preferred
