Working in partnership with Sofina Seafood (Youngs), we are recruiting for an experienced Quality Assurance/Quality Auditors/ QA's to join our busy Humberstone Road site.

The shift which we are recruiting for are;

  • 4on 4off 6am-6pm.

This is a full time position to cover Maternity leave. Only applicants available to work full time will be considered.

Payrate will be £12 p/h until signed off in the role or reaching 12 weeks, increasing to £13.63 p/h.

The Job role;

  • Working closely alongside production teams
  • Adhering to HACCP procedures and requirements
  • Strict adherence to food safety and food hygiene standards
  • Temperature Controls, Label Verification & Metal Detection checks
  • Ensuring environmental considerations are factored into daily working requirements
  • Ensuring that product follows traceability and segregation process
  • Ensuring adherence to food safety and food hygiene standards
  • Completion, monitoring and verification checks throughout the factory.
  • Accurately completing paperwork
  • Assess product throughout the production process to ensure compliance with specification
  • Ensure Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and hygiene rules in the factory environment
  • Assist in preparation for customer visits, third party and internal audits.
  • Maintaining a safe and hazard-free work environment

Preferred skills/qualifications/experience required;

  • Education to GCSE standard or equivalent (Must include passes in English and Maths)
  • A Food related qualification (advantageous but not essential)
  • A working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Quality Assurance experience in the food industry
  • Food manufacturing background
  • Experience within a food manufacturing quality and compliance team
