We are currently recruiting for a Refuse Loader to join a busy waste management team based in Kendal.

Location: Kendal, Cumbria
Hours: 6:00am - 4:00pm, Monday to Friday
Overtime: Saturdays available as and when required

This is a physically demanding role working outdoors in all weather conditions. You will be responsible for collecting waste and recycling materials and loading them into a Refuse Collection Vehicle (RCV) as part of a fast-paced team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collecting household and commercial waste from designated routes
  • Loading waste and recycling into an RCV safely and efficiently
  • Extensive walking throughout shifts
  • Repetitive lifting and manual handling of bins and waste containers
  • Working closely with drivers and fellow loaders to complete daily collections
  • Adhering to all health and safety procedures
  • Assisting with general yard and depot duties as required

Requirements:

  • Reliable, punctual and hardworking
  • Physically fit and capable of carrying out demanding manual work throughout the day
  • Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Able to work effectively as part of a team
  • Previous experience in waste management or a similar manual role is beneficial but not essential
  • Own transport is desirable for reliable travel to and from the depot and ypu ay have to cover other depots close by

What's On Offer:

  • Full-time ongoing work
  • Monday to Friday, 6:00am - 4:00pm
  • Overtime available on Saturdays as and when required
  • Weekly pay
  • Immediate starts available
