The Royal Mint Experience is looking for enthusiastic and engaging Tour Guides to join the team on a part-time basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who enjoy working with people, delivering exceptional customer service, and bringing stories to life for visitors from across the UK and beyond.

Hours of Work
Hours will vary and will include weekends, evenings and school holidays on a rota basis and are 6 hours each.

Opening hours are 09:30 - 16:30 Monday - Sunday and will extend over the Christmas period 08:30 - 20:30.

Successful candidates must be flexible and available to work between Monday and Sunday.

Minimum contracted hours: 6 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and informative guided tours to visitors.
  • Embrace the idea of teamwork and contribute to the success of the attraction.
  • Follow tour scripts and be open to coaching and feedback.
  • Maintain high standards of presentation throughout the attraction.
  • Provide outstanding customer service at all times.
  • Ensure punctuality and readiness for all scheduled shifts.
  • Report any incidents or concerns to the Duty/General Manager promptly.

About You
We are looking for individuals who are:
Essential

  • Experienced in customer-facing roles, retail or hospitality environments.
  • Energetic, enthusiastic and confident.
  • Comfortable engaging with groups and speaking in public.
  • Passionate about delivering excellent customer service.
  • Creative, proactive and adaptable.
  • Reliable with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn.

Desirable

  • Experience in amateur dramatics, acting or performance.
  • Previous experience in tourism or visitor attractions.
  • Experience managing groups and working to tight schedules.
  • Ability to speak a foreign language.
  • Awareness of health and safety practices.
  • An interest in storytelling and history.
